Hellooooooo ISG!! My name is Halleh Hashtpari, and I’m going to be your 2011-2012 Chair. I’m a fourth year Psychobiology major, Near Eastern Languages and Cultures minor. I absolutely love playing any sport under the sun, and in my free time I like to go to the gym, play my guitar or read. This is my third year involved in ISG and my second year on board. I am soooooooo excited for all the great things in store for ISG this year. I hope that all of you get involved this year, because I know it made my last couple years so memorable. Growing up I wasn’t immersed deeply into Persian culture being surrounded by so many non-Iranians, and was surprised when two years ago I became so involved in ISG, and ended up on board the following year . Ironically, ISG has honestly been one of the greatest experiences I have had so far at UCLA, and that is why I am so excited to be on board again this year; so please, don’t be shy, and come share our amazing Persian culture with us.
